What Toy Soldier items Have You Acquired in The Last 2 Weeks ? (6 Viewers)

New guy, just started collecting in June.

My first eBay buy as well as my first glossy figures:

$24 ~ Not sure who made them as there are no markings but I like em! WWI era Marines maybe?

My first W. Britain and first mounted figure:

2pyxsn7.jpg

WWI Death Head Hussar.

I seem to be gravitating towards a desire for WWI items at this point :)

A little "interaction" between the two new guys :)

On August 4th, I received about 20 new Hiriart sets from Uruguay for my collection. It included a number of sets which were inspired by Britains pre-war offerings, but I believe they have superior sculpting, detail, painting, accuracy, etc. Here are five, but my Royal Marines and Green Howards sets have the Regimental flags which are not shown in these stock photos:

1009 THE ROYAL MARINES COLOUR PARTY

1010 THER ROYAL MARINE LIGHT INFANTRY COLOUR PARTY

1014 THE WELSH REGIMENT

1054 THE DUKE OF CORNWALL'S LIGHT INFANTRY

1064 THE GREEN HOWARDS COLOUR PARTY

Those are lovely traditional sets.
You said that you import them.
Is it easy to buy direct from Hiriat.
How do you get hold of the company.
Thank you for posting.

Thank you, Damian. It is hard to beat Hiriart if you like traditional glossy, 54mm toy soldiers. I do import them; I place one order a year with Hiriart. This year's order #7 was for 161 sets which is being shipped in three parts. I have received two parts, to date, and the third part should be completed in December. I am not sure how easy it is to buy direct from Hiriart, because, in the past, Hiriart has refered inquireres they received to me since the individuals were not placing large orders. I honestly don't know the size of orders they would consider from new customers to sell to them directly. My first, and smallest trial order, was for 30 sets in 2005. All my subsequent orders have been for at least 100 sets. I currently order Hiriart for almost 30 different collectors, including about a dozen from the Forum. I also sell them at the West Coaster Show in March. If you will send me your email address I will send you a Hiriart catalog list of their 340 sets and a copy of a list of what resale sets I still have available from this year's order. The sets are $125 each while double sets (i.e., artillery gun teams, bands, Dehli Durbar elephants, etc.) are $240. My email address is matara42@roadrunner.com Thanks.

Here are some additional sets that I received for my personal collection from Hiriart on August 4th which were inspired by Britains pre-war sets:

1123 WW I THE KING"S LIVERPOOL VOLUNTEERS, 1914

1175 THE KING"S OWN SCOTTISH BORDERERS

1176 THE ROYAL SCOTTISH FUSILIERS

1209 THE ROYAL MARINE ARTILLERY, EGYPT, 1882

SPEC THE ROYAL BERKSHIRE REGIMENT (this is a non-catalog set)
