Rec'd the WB 24th Foot soldier bayoneting a Zulu, pictured at photo center. Formerly a Modelzone exclusive, now available direct. Chris

My friend Jim found this STADDEN figure and 3 more Napoleonic Highlanders at the recent Chicago Show, and brought them back home me here in OZ

They are all undercoated castings, but this is the first one I have painted.

Hope you like my 'lick of paint'

My latest acquisition via Ebay. Standing Horse Guards and Life Guards. Bases are marked as Britains 1973 (the beginning of New Metal Models) but the date on the box is 1982. I was really quite pleased to have won this auction.
I think that these will end up as part of a cameo of mounted and dismounted Household Cavalry.

Hmmmmmm, I don't get it :rolleyes2: Nothing remotely close to a Toy Soldier item .

Starlux is a well known French manufacturer of Toys Soldiers
1944 - 19777 first composite, then from1947 plastic
In their vast range of Soldiers, they also made Prehistorics including men and womens, but also a sort of "menagerie" of the period
I'm usualy not interested in farm/animals but here having those 4 pieces in hands, I could not resist to add them as illustration of the Starlux Range
See the catalog page Starlux Prehistoric here (PDF)

I'm an "eclectic" collector

T-34 in Berlin had just been unboxed and touched up for chipped paint - my FOURTH T-34 set ......... {sm3}

Finally arrived - took 1 month to reach me ^&grin

I like these older Panzers which have more crews (5 in this set) and panels all opened up. This feature is lacking in the newer models where most hatches are all closed

I recently acquired two sets of Figarti Khe Sanh Marines
and two sets of the VC.
I might use these to make a diorama for
my local Vet group to see.
That means more sets are necessary.
