Moreover, by not believing in a higher power, you then must believe that the entire universe created itself, from nothing; That the immutable laws of the universe, ala quantum physics, gravity, etc., created themselves; and that its possible for life to birth itself from non-life…Among many other improbabilities, which I’m sure you’ve pondered deeply. Personally, to me it takes more faith to believe all that than it does to believe in a God.

PS I respect your right to believe in the idea of the multiverse — in which literally everything that can exist, does. So, in fact, if there is a multiverse, somewhere two pink elephants are having this exact same discussion….

I think your mis-interpreting what Wayne is saying, plus he has every right to express an opinion whether you agree with it or not. Yes this has become a lively debate and in my opinion veered away from the thread topic somewhat, however lets not turn on each other here.

I have huge respect for many on TF and count a number as mates and close friends.

Some may not fully appreciate the true impact the Bondi beach massacre has had on us ANZAC’s.

For starters our gun culture is very different to other parts of the western world and we tend to be more care-free and forgiving than some. We are young nations in terms of Europe or the US, however answered the call and fought and sacrificed when called upon.

Religious intolerance is on the rise, stoked by pathetically weak leadership in the west, driven by leftist ideology, guilt over colonisation and a ridiculous attempt to rewrite history and the preserved ills of the past.

History has taught us Islam and the Christian faith are not compatible and any attempts to assimilate typically end in violence and the slaughter of many.

My main point is when you equate Israel to same level as the terrorists that chant Death To Israel, Death To the USA on a daily basis, you go in that category in my book. This is not about disagreeing with my thoughts, it is simply a reaction to that line of thinking. For me on this subject, there is zero gray area, it is pretty black and white. I don't have any emotion on this, it is just simple facts. The goal of Muslim terrorists is the death of all infidels (largest part of their definition is Jews and Americans). That simple.

Like I said in my “long winded answer” of a couple hundred words (I’m guessing you don’t read too many books), you’re free to have your faith (in no god) as I am to have my faith (in a god). Neither of us can prove their faith with absolute certainty. That’s why it’s called faith. Duh.

The pink elephants (if they exist) do so in a completely other universe. Good luck spotting them, but keep looking until you do!

Dude, I’ve watched and read innumerable books and videos on the origin of the universe. I’ve gone deeply into “the science”. You haven’t evolved, you’ve devolved into wild speculation about multiverses.

To wit: The science does not and cannot explain the causal origin of the Big Bang. Science cannot explain from whence the fine tuning of the universe nor the origin of the fundamental forces of nature. Science has never successfully explained or proved that life can come from non-life without human intervention. Sciences only explanation, as it were, is the multiverse. In which a fully autonomous universe generating mechanism spews forth trillions of potential universes with all possible scenarios and make up. And we are just lucky to be in one of the (who knows how many) trillions of universes that is friendly to life. Albeit not exceptionally friendly. But of course none of these other universes are observable by us. So instead of one god, you believe in trillions of universes - btw in which ann exact copy of you, with very slight differences, exists millions of times.

Net net, I’ve long since surpassed the basics.
