Bondi Beach Terrorist Attack (2 Viewers)

Seriously, you believe that BS.
What BS? Humans start wars and have since the dawn of time. They are not all religious, they involved expansion, hatred (aka Russia Ukraine), conquest, necessity and many other reasons including the all of the above choice. I think Rutlege's post was pretty on point.

An AI view of God/Religion in Wars:

How Religion Fuels Conflict:

  • "Us vs. Them" Mentality: Religions can create strong in-group identities, viewing other faiths or interpretations as threats, leading to perceived moral imperatives to fight.
  • Divine Mandate: Leaders use religious texts or prophecies to justify violence as a holy duty or God's will, as seen in concepts like "holy war" or "jihad".
  • Resources & Territory: Wars framed religiously, like the Crusades, were often about controlling valuable land (the Holy Land) or wealth, with faith as a powerful mobilizer.
  • Political Power: Rulers often used religious differences (e.g., Catholics vs. Protestants) to consolidate power, gain autonomy, or unite their people.
Examples of Religion & War:
  • The Crusades: A blend of religious fervor to reclaim holy sites and secular desires for land, prestige, and wealth.
  • European Wars of Religion (16th-17th centuries): Fueled by doctrinal disputes, but also by monarchs seeking independence from papal authority.
  • Modern Conflicts (e.g., Middle East): Religious elements (fundamentalism, extremism) are present, but deeply intertwined with ethnic grievances, territory, and geopolitical power struggles.
The Reality: Other Factors Often Dominate:
  • Power & Resources: Most wars are driven by traditional causes like imperial ambition, economic competition, and ethnic rivalry.
  • Ideologies: Secular ideologies (like Communism in Stalin's USSR or Maoist China) have also led to immense violence, notes Omnes.
In essence, Religion acts as a powerful lens, intensifier, or justification for conflict, but rarely as the singular root cause, with politics, economics, and ethnicity often being the primary drivers.
Must be correct then, say no more.

It's interesting to note that AI started with; 'How Religion Fuels Conflict', which it certainly does, and I believe the World would be a better place without Religion, All of Them.

I am a firm supporter of the 'Separation of Church and State' and IMO there is no place in Australian Government for State support of Any Religion.

If you choose to live in Australia, Leave your Past Behind, We Don't want your Problems here.

Seriously, you believe that BS.
Nah. I wrote it plain as day but I don’t believe a word of it. 🙄🙄🤨🤨🤷🤷

FFS. Unless you can show me a video of “god” actually starting wars, I’ll continue to believe, wholeheartedly, that it’s humans that start, fight, win, lose and make wars. Duh.
