Bondi Beach Terrorist Attack (4 Viewers)

Except, you do not see Christian believers and Jewish people going and doing terror attacks on Islamic people for what they believe like this or what has been happing in Nigeria or the Congo or on our colleges in the U.S

It's an odd culture and full of contradictions, such as whereas it's permissible for children to play with dolls and action figures, because their prophet allowed his child bride to play with dolls, for adults, us collectors of toy soldiers would be strongly discouraged from doing so as it can be thought of as idol worship !

Muslims kill Muslims all the time, just look at Syria where hundreds of thousands were killed, or the war between Iraq and Iran when a million or more perished, it's not a religion that teaches you to turn the other cheek, and while the West believes in tolerance, they do not.

But they much prefer conquest over those who they term infidels, and they are doing exactly that, by hook or by crook.

Who knows all the many reasons humans have waged wars. Is “god” the biggest? No idea. God certainly wasn’t the cause of WW1, WW2, the American Civil war, the American Revolutionary War, or the Korean conflict. And those were some biggies.

Regardless, wars are started by humans, acting as humans do. “God” is not involved.

There is a 'Vigil for Bondi' being held this evening in my new adopted beach side city. Police will in attendance of course. There will be New Zealand & Australian flags, plus the Israeli flag for remembrance.

I mentioned the vigil to friends and work colleagues and the response was disappointing........words like 'you're not thinking of attending are you' or 'I'll be keeping well away from that'.

The overall inference was it will be dangerous to attend, there will be trouble etc etc...........Given what has just occurred in Bondi I was taken aback by the reactions and comments, which came from folks who had been expressing deep sorrow and horror at what had taken place.

I'm not Jewish or align myself with any particular faith, however thought this is the very time Kiwis should be standing in support of our Australian cousins and NZ Jewish community.

What gets me is the genuine fear the vigil would be attacked or is it more about not offending Muslims or other segments of our multi-cultural society?

Either way I thought their responses limp and cowardly and a reflection on how weak & pathetic some sectors of western society has become in recent years........
