Around this time of the year, I get into the Christmas spirit, my Dad loved Christmas; LOVED it. He had nothing when he was a kid, so we had everything as kids, he made Christmas truly the most wonderful time of the year..............well the apple does not fall far from the tree, I love Christmas too.

The day before Thanksgiving I decorate the house; 10 foot tall tree, santas everywhere, candles, wrap the stairway with garland and lights, put up my Christmas village, the whole 9 yards.

I also love all the Christmas movies and the TV specials, they take me back to a simpler time.

I recently watched Fred Claus; the movie is not very good, but there is a song in the movie that has an effect on me I can't put into words, it's tremendously moving and it hits me where I live.

As I try to get through this mess, for about 4 minutes, this song takes me to my happy place; the part in the video where they spread his ashes into the Pacific amongst thousands of fans really gets me.........................thanks for giving the world this gift IZ, tell my Dad hello for me, I'll see him on the other side over the rainbow someday.

What I enjoy now are the toy commercials. It reminds of being a kid and watching those commercials, full of action and excitement. Wishing. Hoping. Kind of takes you away.
I didn't realize brother IZ had a so far reaching effect throughout the nation.

This is a novel virus and you always see it referred to that way. As such, the way you deal with it will change as you acquire knowledge about it. It has been and remains an evolving process.

The virus may be "novel" but the "experts" who are paid well to prepare for these events should have had a much better handle on what to do before it even occurred. Health organizations receive millions to prepare for just such events. They have decades to study prior events. There shouldn't be decisions made on the fly or confusion over basic steps like whether to wear masks. And here in PA, there has been a mask mandate for months and there are now more cases than ever. I don't doubt that mask wearing may help but if they were as effective as the CDC and Fauci touted, then presumably the number of cases would go down as more people wear them. That seems like common sense and yet exactly the opposite is happening. The cases have skyrocketed as more people wear masks and social distance.

I don’t agree. At the time this was a new virus or disease. No one could tell how it would react or what would work well to combat it. Unfortunately, you can only employ best practices when you are confronted by it in actuality, not in the abstract.

It will soon be our First Covid Christmas, a lot of things have changed for a lot of people this year, and I hope the next Christmas is less gloomy. I miss the good old days when I was young and people were less stressed, and we didn't have to worry about offending people.

This is still my favorite Christmas movie, I always feel something when I watch it every year, especially this scene.

Now that is good post, love it!

Great scene, love it!!

Christmas will make a big bash of a return next year. This year's installment will be unique and immediate family focused and a chance for something different. I'm just gonna try to make the best of this situation that no one asked for.

I saw where they are checking blood given last year and they are detecting antibodies in blood given last Dec.13th-19th and it takes at least 2 weeks for antibodies to show. Found it in Italy going back to September! This has been around longer than we realize. This is a report out of Australia. Brad I live in Cumberland in NJ and it hasn't been bad down here but I hear it's surging here. I agree with Combat that more people are wearing masks and social distancing but It's worse than ever. Yeah you see groups getting together but not the vast majority. Lockdowns don't work.

Mark, there has been evidence emerging over a number of weeks now that supports people in several countries were exposed to Covid as early as the middle of 2019 and possibly earlier. This of course supports the theory by a number of experts that this was deliberately spread to gain maximin affect.

The same tactic's were deployed during the earlier SARs outbreak and also the swine and bird flu's.

You don't have to believe me, all the supported evidence is there on line in black and white.

This is a man made virus pure and simple.

Hi all

Here's some more links on very good info on the Covid19 issue.

Please be aware that many fact checkers on big tech are not to be trusted and are labeling experts and information that counters the covid narrative as misinformation. I have seen investigation info on these fact checking sites that prove they are part of a massive censorship and coverup that is being perpetrated on society. As I have said previously, I urge people to do there own research, watch the vid's I'm sending and keep an open mind. The vaccines are just around the corner and I fear there's going to be serious issues to people that take them. Remember, once you take the Covid19 vaccine, there's no going back. These vaccines are way different to the previous ones.

Two hour video but very good. They talk about the Australian Qantas airlines vaccine mandate, vaccines, big revelation of the PCR tests and much, much more.

I understand the difficulties in controlling the virus but to accept this premise would basically mean we are helpless at the most crucial time in the face of any pandemic when it begins to spread. Contagious diseases share a lot of similarities. The medical community has had centuries to study them and formulate a strategy in advance. And there should have been a better plan from day one. Instead there was an inexplicable delay in warning the public and then lots of conflicting information on the fly which continues to this day. The world health organizations did a very poor job on every level with this pandemic. To what extent the influence of China and the US election had in that process remains to be determined.

No one does Christmas like George! It's awesome how you really get into it! It reminds me of all of the Great Christmas Days I was lucky to have as a child, and how many amazing Christmas Days I had with my son. I really can't think of times that were more fun than that.

23 million ahead of me in US,615,000 in NJ and 8,700 in Cumberland County.

It is inexplicable that the approvals are taking so long. Around 2,000 people are dying every day and the vaccine is still sitting. Every day means a few more thousand people will needlessly die.

I'm screwed...............

Based on your risk profile, we believe you’re in line behind 268.7 million people across the United States.
When it comes to Massachusetts, we think you’re behind 5.4 million others who are at higher risk in your state.

And in Bristol County, you’re behind 451,400 others.

The hope is as they roll out the vaccine, the number of infections/deaths will drop, as will the likelihood of you contracting it.

This is what I get for eating healthy and exercising all these years..............if I had only known a worldwide pandemic was coming sooner............................

old guys rule!
especially old guys with issues...^&grin

Based on your risk profile, we believe you’re in line behind 23.0 million people across the United States.
When it comes to Texas, we think you’re behind 1.9 million others who are at higher risk in your state.

And in Galveston County, you’re behind 11,600 others.

George, It's never too late to initiate an aggressive program of self-abuse.

Glad to hear you have issues Mike!!
I have many issues. I just don't know if any of them allow for cuts in the vaccine line.
