For the most part mankind is terrible. Greedy. We'll never get along. Sometimes I just want to be hermit. I'm reading this book about Comanches in Texas & Oklahoma. Brutal.
On another note, I see the USA carrier group as a deterrent to prevent other groups in joining Hamas. Other than that, Israel don't need our help. They probably have the best trained army in the world.
and their ammunition resupply etc comes from where?

Hey chris,,iv been away a bit,,health etc,,the forum seems to be really changed starting with the !st ID having a round insignia?????
Ha ha- yeah that's crazy- I hadnt heard that- perhaps it's a throwback to the WW1 look?? My Great Grandfathers WW1 I Corps patch was a rounded circle so perhaps that is what is going on here? I dont like the look- the shield was better.

Yep the US is going to be the biggest outside supplier of arms and ammunition. I may not be upto date on this, but weren't Israel the biggest recipient of US aid, followed by one of their neighbours, Egypt in second position. One a firm friend of the US, the other, well, they burn flags.

I'm talking about the current US perspective. Our politicians want an immediate cease fire in Gaza but in contrast they want an endless war in Ukraine.
Putin wants an endless war in Ukraine...Or eat it all right away.

He does? And you learned this from CNN or MSNBC? It's the same tired warmongering that led to Vietnam, Afghanistan, and Iraq. Decades were spent there. Trillions were spent. Hundreds of thousands died or were maimed. And when all was said and done nothing was accomplished. Eventually the Ukraine war will end. When it does nothing will be different on that day than if it ended today except for the cost in lives and dollars. And why the rush for a ceasefire in Gaza if endless war is the solution to aggression? It's just whatever is deemed expedient for the our corrupt politicians. You don't see Blinken making any efforts to end the war in Ukraine. He has taken up residence in the Middle East trying to end that one.

Good luck with ever finding a solution in the Middle East, where the children are taught to hate the Israelis and the West from the cradle and carry on to the grave.

So warmongering is Europe and the American government that defend a sovereign country attacked that Putin wants to erase from the maps, annihilate its culture and inhabitants and not the criminal against humanity Putin? Are you just propagating the disgusting propaganda of the Kremlin.....If Ukraine falls everything will go back to how it was before? Putin will attack NATO countries and you think that nothing will happen? Are you real or are you pretending?

Oh please drop the anti Russian propaganda stuff, it’s boring and maybe try looking at the origins of the conflict before spouting off with all that msm rhetoric.

I do not agree with not trying to end the conflict in Ukraine. It needs to end on a lot of levels. Putin IMO never dreamed that Ukraine would not just lay down, he vastly underestimated. I do believe the US could be doing more to end the conflict rather than funneling trillions into it. Putin has no exit right now that doesn't leave him weak.

The US has done much more than its fair share. We have sent tens of billions in equipment and aid with no end in sight. And we already have paid to defend Europe for the last 70 years which is one reason that our cities and institutions are in ruins. If Europe feels threatened by Russia, let them prop up Zelensky. They have mostly checked out. The current strategy - if there even is one - is incremental escalation for endless war. There is no end game. A strategy that maximizes cost as in Vietnam and Afghanistan. No one is suggesting that Ukraine should surrender. They should do whatever they feel they need to do to defend themselves. The US, however, should not bankroll an endless stalemate with no effort to end the war. Where is Blinken? He spends all of his time in the Middle East trying to get a ceasefire. He is not to be seen in Ukraine.

Anybody read the latest BS coming out of Iran. The Ayatollah is "ordering up reprisal attacks against Israel but will wait til after the US Election". Huh? Ok, so you are going to announce this , then wait. What a load, if Iran had any brains, now is the time to sit down, shup up and slip back into oblivion. OR, keep it up and the Israelis will reduce them to oblivion, real oblivion. I think I am going to start an asphalt and paving Company to rebuild Iran into the true parking lot it should be, I think it is going to be a wise investment.

I think Iran is in face saving mode. They don't want this to escalate. The sad irony is that Iran is a modern country with many normal people. They are governed by radicals, however. The government is sitting on a powder keg all set for revolution when the right moment comes. The US, however, has stupidly propped up the current government instead of working to undermine it. The US foreign policy around the world is a complete disaster and has been for many decades. The military leadership and state department need a clean sweep. Talk about the "swamp."

The regime in Iran was suffering quite drastically with the sanctions that America had imposed on them, then president Biden, threw them a lifeline. Which they have used to double down on dissent within Iran and further arm their proxies in Lebanon, Gaza and West Bank.
Presumably things will again swing back in the other direction, when / if Trump gets back into power, with a better chance for a cease fire in the Middle East, though with the inbred animosity towards Israel, it's never going to be long lasting and perhaps some sort of solution in Ukraine, though I don't think either side will be happy entirely, but with Russia being bled dry with them now getting reinforcements from North Korea, though not on a scale to ensure a victory over Ukraine and Ukraine being drip fed enough to keep going, but not enough to give them overwhelm the Russians, as the arm supplies love having a nice steady income and a forever war, but of course these are just my opinions and I'm sure there are many different other ones just here on the forum !

Great to hear Trump’s words about the remaining Israeli histages in Gaza.

In response to hearing confirmation via Israel Defense Forces that New Yorker Omer Neutra, 21, was killed by Hamas during the Oct. 7, 2023, terrorist attack on Israel.

Trump warned Monday there will be “all hell to pay” in the Middle East if Hamas does not release every one of the remaining hostages in Gaza before his inauguration next month.

They are basically empty words as Gaza has been bombed to smithereens. What is he going to do that the Israelis haven’t done? Send in US troops? If Israel could have rescued the hostages they would have by now; the miles and miles of underground tunnels is extensive.

I have to agree with Brad: it's bravado to think a new admin. could change things significantly. Now maybe a new admin. in Israel...
God Save Israel

Even from the msm reports from Gaza, there still seems to be the majority of buildings standing, and Israel has done it's best to limit civilian casualties, though as to how far you can consider any of the people there civilians is debatable, as to the condition of those buildings pre-war to now, to anyone who has travelled in the Middle East, there is often not much difference on the outside of buildings and we would consider them to look like slums, but inside tells a whole different story.
Also remember the billions upon billions given to the UN for Gaza and a lot may not have changed as example, with having running drinking water available for it's people, and I'm not seeing famine in the faces of the people. as there is real famine right now in Sudan, what I am seeing is double chins and fat bellies despite msm claiming otherwise and being bombared with charity adverts for Gaza, it doesn't seem to have been high up on the agenda for Hamas, unless it was for their own quarters, since the pipes, and the billions of dollars spent by UN and EU laying drinking water pipes, only for them to be dug up almost immediately for use in the manufacture of Rockets.
Anyway to get to the point, by this I mean, judging the living conditions in Gaza, by comparing them with our own, just doesn't work, since pre-war living conditions in Gaza for many people there wouldn't be comparable to probably everyone on this forum, since we live in cultures very different and so, I'm sure there are still many targets, not gone after as of yet, that could be.
