N.F.L. Season 2018-19 (3 Viewers)

coaches...like QB's...seem to get the most of the credit...or blame...when things don't go right...

all I'm saying...is Roger's hasn't looked like himself this year...but they are not gonna fire him...

Not even sure how to describe the Steelers implosion losing now to both Denver and San Diego Chargers (LA I mean). First time in franchise history to lose a game at home where they were ahead by more than 14 points. This should have been a blow out.

Now George, I would hope if you saw the game since you have been saying the refs took it easy on the Steelers where last night, blatant false start on the Chargers offense on a td play and a very likely block in the back on the punt return. In all seriousness, I just shake my head at both of these calls b/c end of day, we should have blown them out.

We are going backwards, at this rate, the Ravens will win the AFC North with a losing conference record.
TD

I'm not a Packer fan -- perhaps Mike Estell can weigh in -- but Rogers is considered one of the greatest QBs of this era, yet they have little to show for it, outside that one SB win over the Steelers. I just happen to think that in this day and age, 13 years is too long. At some point, the players tune you out. Sometimes, a fresh approach is needed. Even the great Lombardi coached less than 10 years.

The fans have been clamoring for a couple years now to replace the coach. His running game is just not working. Rogers is one of the greatest QB's to ever play in the game. However, he is 35 years old and has been prone to injury the past two seasons. As I told my wife yesterday afternoon, . . . "its about time". I believe the Cleveland Browns is interested in McCarthy, good luck with that . . .
:smile2: Mike

The Jets may be interested in him also. Perhaps he works best with young QBs.

Truthfully, I shut it off when it was 23-7 at the half, couldn't believe it when I saw the score this morning.

At this rate, the Patriots need to worry about the Chargers and the Texans, not Pittsburg.

Still a lot of football to be played.

These guys are pampered from high school on. Told they are the greatest. Paid millions. Never held accountable by anyone. Collective responsibility of coaches, family, fans and alums. They are only punished when there is stone cold video evidence and there is no other choice from a public relations standpoint. Imagine if we knew everything these players got up to? There wouldn't be anyone left to play.

Great post mate its not just NFL it's world wide they get away with so much and held to high especially when we have men and woman OS fighting so they have that life style
Sorry to get political but it does my head in!!

Wow. The Redskins replace Alex Smith with Colt McCoy after Smith breaks his leg. Then McCoy breaks his leg two games later.

Jason...

here is another bizarre anecdote about that game...

Peterson had 9 carries and rushed for 98 yards...

one of those carries was for 90 yards...

the other 8 carries...not so good...

still...the 90 yard TD run was pretty amazing...nobody made up any ground catching him once he hit full speed...

he's "old man fast"!

Redskin season ended when Smith went down. McCoy is capable but he's was the backup for a reason and now he's gone. Whole season flushed in a 3 game span. We all know Sanchez isn't the answer. When Peterson hit the hole and burst through, I turned to my wife and told her to watch, this old man was gone and no one would catch him. He hit almost 21 mph at full speed. Not bad for a geezer. -- Al

The Sanchise strikes again. You guys are toast. It's amazing how he manages to survive. The only team he hasn't played for in the East are the Giants. They're still time.

Al:

Great quote on local sports about that one:

"Here goes a 33 year old man running for a 90 yard TD, on the flip-side most of us look and feel 90 years old after we run 33 yards........"

It gave me a laugh.

San Francisco's 2018 season summed up in one headline:

"NFL suspends 49ers Long Snapper 10 Games for Second PED Violation"

Long snapper? I am trying to weather this season but this team is really putting my loyalty to the test.................

I don't how many of you watched the Titan game last night but Henry's 99 yard run was amazing. What was also amazing was the lack of Jaguars defense on the play and that it looked like Henry for a second grabbed the face mask of the first defender who tried to stop him.

The jags just looked like they wanted to go home 5 mins into the game. Nothing about that game on their side was good

They played the Patriots earlier in the season and acted like it was the Super Bowl; after they won the game, their season has since gone into the toilet, just **** luck we played them earlier in the year as they've look totally disinterested the past 5 or 6 games.

Funny how they were touted as the next up and coming AFC team after last year; now their coach might be fired after the season.

Another pretender.

The display by the Redskins is embarrassing; Sanchez is terrible, beyond terrible actually, but injuries have killed them too.

You have to wonder where the Giants would be had they won the Panthers and Eagles game.

Redskins played as badly in the 1st half as I can ever remember them playing, and I have been watching since '64. Injuries have ravaged them. They have the most players on the IR in the NFL. Sanchez is bad and he wasn't helped any when his receivers dropped 4 of his first 6 passes, setting the tone for the half. Skins only showed life in the 4th quarter when the game was long decided and the Giants were on cruise-control. There's always next year.:rolleyes2: -- Al

I wouldn't single out Sanchez. That was an entire team playing awful. When you lose your top two QBs other guys have to step up but the Skins have quit on this season. Another disaster for Dandy Dan Snyder. Loved all those empty seats. Someone should check on George after that Miracle in Miami. That was a tough way to lose. The Rams-Bears should be a great game tonight. Curious to see the Rams offense in a cold weather situation against a good D.
