Spoke too soon, UofL lost to unranked GA Tech. :rolleyes2: Chris
Chris, that game has the same pattern the Terps have exhibited all season. They either fall behind big and then come back, or get big leads and blow them. The Terps had a 14 point lead in the 1st half but fell asleep, again, and trailed again going into the last couple of minutes. Cowan, if my memory is correct, scored UMd's last 11 points on 3 treys and 2 FT's, to give UMd the win. Terps live on the edge, game after game, and I fear it will bite them in the butt at tournament time. At the very least, they are very frustrating to watch, even though they have found ways to win, for the most part. -- AlWatched UM bball game yesterday. Something I haven't done in a long time. I did have to turn it off the last few minutes and watch it later. :redface2: Thought Mich State would win at the end. They had the momentum but Terps, especially Cowan, started raining 3's. Nice finish. Chris

Saw the story and read it, didn't see it live. Dedication. -- AlDid anyone see Herb Jones, AL, get 17 rebounds and 2 blocks with one broken wrist in a brace? Even more unusual, making FT's while shooting one handed. Chris
UK almost blows a 15 point lead, buts wins by 3 at LSU. Chris
That UK LSU game really sums up the Wildcats this year. They can be so lazy for huge chunks of a game, however when they turn it on they are one of the best teams in the country.
Thanks Jason, after going 2 for 22 in three's the last game, UK rained 3's in the second half. Don't think they missed one. Won the game for them at the end. Bilas was again complaining about no fouls called again after almost every possession. :rolleyes2: Chris
Saturday was a bad day for ranked teams as 8 of them went down, including #'s 1, 2, and 4. {eek3} -- Al

Yep, the Top 25 Weekend Massacre has sure muddied the waters. 40% of the Top 25 lose, not exactly grace under pressure for teams with tournament ambitions.:rolleyes2: -- AlWith Penn State and UMd also falling this weekend (making 5 of the top 10 losers this weekend) selection Sunday and placement/seeds could be very interesting.
They are absolutely driving me CRAZY. I can't watch them other than in bits and pieces. Turned the channel when they trailed by 17, came back when they were down by 15 with 9 minutes left and watched the comeback. They had 2 leads in the game, once at 4-2, and once when they hit the game winning shot with 1.9 seconds left. A team needs a little consistency because this living on the edge will kill them eventually. :rolleyes2: -- AlUMd had another 15+ point comeback last night, this time against Minnesota. On one hand they do live dangerously, on the other they do have the ability to score in droves.
Like so many other teams this year they are difficult to figure out and even more difficult to predict.
