NCAA Football 2019 (2 Viewers)

I got my hat trick very unexpectedly.

Stanford beat Oregon, Texas defeated TCU and Cal lost to Washington State.

As mentioned earlier, Terps took a beating from Iowa and are now 4-1. Good news though as the USNA got it's first win of the season, beating UCF 34-30. Next, the Middies get #24 SMU. Go Navy! -- Al

After beating the 3rd ranked team in the country Stanford should have been ranked in the Top 25.

One more addition, nice to see Jimbo Fisher at Texas A&M pick up his second loss of the season! Pretty good weekend all the way around!
Tom

That game was especially appreciated here as my wife is an Miss State alum. :smile2: Chris

Chris, Terps held OSU close...and then the game began. What a joke. Terps looked like they never heard of the phrase 'pass defense'. OSU did whatever it wanted, whenever it wanted...66-17. Oh well, at least it was better than 2019 when OSU hung 74 on them.:rolleyes2: The USN played SMU tight but couldn't pull off the upset and are now 1-4 on the year. Bad weekend for the locals. -- Al

What the Hell??? Terps beat West Virginia to open and had things rolling and now 2 weeks in a row BLOWN OUT!!! had high hopes for a decent Bowl bid...looks now more like the toilet Bowl

WOW.....go Texas AM....
Really. And then there is the all-time classic El Foldo pulled by Texas. Gave up 25 points in the 4th quarter. Really? How is that possible (realizing it is very possible and has been seen before), but, Jeez. -- Al

10 seconds left on the clock, OU needs a FG to win, basically in FG range, QB hands it off, running back starts to run, I'm watching the clock, there he goes, I'm saying "Go down, go down, go down.........TOUCHDOWN!!".........

Unbelievable.

Sucks that Alabama lost, we'll see how far down the polls they go.

Crazy day in College FB. Alabama - well, their own fault, no defense when mattered, can't be #1 without a consistent defense. Just can't stand who beat them. OU, oh boy, talk about laying an egg for a good portion of the game, then Texas pure choke.

Kentucky beats up on LSU and newsflash - Notre Dame escapes yet again with last minute heroics on an unranked team...............................

Seminoles won for me and the Ole Miss game was a thriller, they held on. Should be an interesting next couple of weeks!

My USC Trojans have hit rock bottom. Three straight home blowouts including the first loss to Oregon St. in LA since the 1960s and the first loss to Utah in LA since 1915! And they were ugly beatings to mediocre teams. And next up a road game with ND. Granted, the Irish are overrated but that should still be a 60-0 beatdown. All the more amazing is that on the rare occasion that USC makes a play - no matter how badly they are getting blown out - the players will flex and dance like they have just won the Super Bowl. Infuriating. John McKay must be rolling in his grave.

I know what you mean, have the same problem with the Seminoles, it is infuriating.

Alabama's loss was good for college football.

Probably good for Bama as well. They will refocus and be tough to beat again. Georgia will undoubtedly choke if they play and the winner will be the eventual champ.

The NCAA really needs to do something about teams faking injuries to stop the momentum of another team. Some embarrassing examples this last weekend. It's becoming like soccer. A player will be standing on the field looking toward the sideline then suddenly grab his leg and fall to the ground like he has been shot. He will wallow on the ground for a few minutes and then dash off the field to the boos of the crowd. Time for a penalty or TO charged to a team if a player can't get off the field.

I do agree, I believe there was one in the Ole Miss game that was just like that. They blamed the heat and cramping, that may be true, but it screws the pace of the game.

My home team University of Kentucky does it all the time. Cramping is an affliction that only affects the defensive linemen. I never, or hardly ever, see an offensive lineman go down with leg cramps. Happens all the time when an opposing team is on the move. I can't see the sidelines on tv but the coaches must have a signal for a player to go down. Chris
