Whoops! Dawgs romp! Appears the Dawgs will break Alabama’s record (done twice) of 28 straight wins. UGA tied it today with the trouncing of Tennessee - despite giving up a 75 yd TD run on the first play of the game. Ga next plays instate rival Ga Tech for their final regular season game at home. A win will make 29 straight. That’s a new record. After that its the SEC Championship game vs Bama. Then perhaps the college football playoffs.

Yes, a proud legacy. Deaths, reckless driving, numerous arrests, and Bennett in rehab unable to play in the NFL.

LOL Gosh you sure do have a serious case of sour grapes. Might want to see somebody about that.

Besides. Really old news. BTW, has Apple launched the iPhone 7 yet?

Haven’t the Rams traded or drafted two Ga QBs in the last few years? Hmm. The Rams seem to not share your opinion of the UGA program and it’s players. But I’m sure you’ll set them straight.:rolleyes2::rolleyes2:

Another wild week for me, Texas seemingly continues to find a way to win, but jeez, not loving it. They are out of rhythm, injuries, then coming back, somehow, just not perfect. They have a lot of talent and should be putting up 40 pts.

FSU- oh boy, play a terrible team, whup um, but lose your starting QB and team leader while undefeated. **** injuries. Not sure what happens now, backup came in and settled and tore up a lesser team, which is what is supposed to happen. Will see next week against the Gators.

Georgia - rolling. Watched it on a plane ride and they are pretty complete. They dispatched TN after 1 play with not much trouble.

Michigan - well, on the road against MD, they really controlled the game, just had trouble putting them away, end of day, far better team won.

USC - watched this on the plane too, I would say Chip Kelly at UCLA may have saved his job. USC is snake bit under Riley, lot of talent on offense.

Oklahoma - if not for a 100 yd pick six, I think they lose. George, know I am biased for a few reasons, but I still can't stand Venables, reminds me of Dabo (Dumbo) part Deux. They will probably continue to get better, although both OK and TX will now have to recruit against the rest of the SEC, that could be tough.

Speaking of Dumbo Sweeney, saw on the wrap up his horrible dancing and jumping around like an idiot on the sidelines by beating the mighty UNC........................................He is still an idiot. What does he think, its the 90s and Jump Around is the #1 single. Krist, you could have made a music video with him on the sidelines. UGLY.

And that is the slanted and biased recap of the weekend.

Another weekend with no major upsets despite several trap road games. I can't remember any season with fewer upsets. The elite teams seem to be distancing themselves from the rest. There must also be tremendous pressure on the refs to keep the playoff hopes of the top teams alive in every conference. Michigan got a phantom safety to win their game this weekend. It doesn't take a fix, but just the right call at the right time to make it almost impossible to beat the best teams. At least they have to start playing each other soon.

LOL!!

What a goofball.

Nothing wrong with being slanted; you attended FSU, your son goes to UT, the two of you will always pull for those teams being alums, just like WWII Buff will always pull for Georgia.......Hell, not only did he attend the school, he PLAYED on the team and had a great relationship with coach Dooley, no one can ever take that away from him.

Been an OU and Michigan fan since I was a kid, loved the OU option offense and the Boz, been a Michigan fan forever as well, no yahoo biases, Michigan has never won a national championship in my lifetime, OU last won one in 2000.

If the final four plays out as Georgia, tOSU, FSU and Washington, I won't watch any of the games, no dog in the fight. If Michigan and/or Alabama somehow get in, I'm in.

It's that simple.

I think the ankle injury is literally going to be an achilles for FSU. I am not sure who the best is, but I do think Georgia is for real again. The conf championships are going to be interesting in the Big 10 and SEC for sure. If Washington hangs on , they have an argument too, boy, Oregon coach should be kicking himself to doomsday if Washington makes it after the bonehead coaching decision. But at least there is one favorable moment to this season, no Dancing Dumbo will grace the postseason where it matters!

It's yahooism at its finest to be fan of a local college team when you did not attend that university.

I'm not local to Oklahoma, Alabama, Michigan or California, but that does not preclude me from being a fan of the Sooners, Tide, Wolverines or Trojans.

What absolute garbage “logic”.

So, by your logic I could be a fan of, say Utah, and not be a “Yahoo”? But being a fan of nearby UGA, where many friends attended, and for whom I’ve been a vigorous fan since Herschel Walkers days, I am a Yahoo. That is the dumbest argument I’ve ever encountered. Does 2 * 2 = 5 in your world?

Do me a solid and stop responding to my posts just like I've stopped responding to yours, I'm done getting into pissing contests with you.

Either that or I put you on ignore.

Your call.

I love the way Kirk Herbstreit and Joey Galloway view the Big 10.

When Ohio Stare beat Penn State and Maryland both of them said how great those wins were against elite opponents.

When Michigan beat those same teams Herbstreit and Galloway both said that those teams were mediocre at best.

The predicts:

Michigan 24 Ohio St. 20 - At home, Michigan wins this one in an ugly game. Nothing would be better, though, than a Harblow defeat to end his tenure in not only disgrace but defeat to a hated rival.

Oregon 37 Oregon St. 24 -
The Beavs played the Huskies tight. In a rivalry game anything is possible but I think the Ducks win at home. They likely will beat the Huskies in rematch on a neutral field.

UNC 38 NC St. 30- I've never seen either school play football but NC St is apparently ranked and playing at home. So this is an upset pick.

Washington 40 Wash St. 20- A trap game but the lack of upsets this year continues.

The Egg Bowl is on tonight. That's Ole Miss vs Miss State for the uninitiated and disinterested. ^&grin Wife is a MSU alum and her sister from Ole Miss. Go Bulldogs!

I was watching ESPN and saw the bottom scroll list OK 72 USC 70, and for a split second I thought that was a football score, not know it was for basketball.

After the Bruins and Celtics ****shows yesterday ruined Friday, today Michigan, Alabama and FSU will all lose and ruin Saturday for me too...........

I love the college football playoff format, but if it's;

Georgia
tOSU
Washington
Texas/whoever

I'm 1000% out.

The top teams this year are light years beyond everyone else. Michigan and Georgia will be in the championship game. Everyone else is a pretender. Georgia, Michigan, Texas, and Oregon are my picks. Oregon could upset one of those teams but they are likely too much of a finesse team to match up with the physical play of the elite teams. Texas will get blasted by either of those teams.

The NCAA is a world of hurt with the whole season likely forfeited if Michigan wins out.

Man do I love being wrong, two of the greatest college games I've ever seen...........both on the same day to boot.

GO BIG BLUE...........

ROLL TIDE.................

George:

Great post.

I have all but given up on college football and it’s crap “playoff” system. Who beat who and by how many, coupled with financially biased rankings and fact that the term “college” part of all of this is meaningless.

I watch game to game ignoring allegiances.

With that being said, this weekend delivered excitement and excellence across the board.

Best,
Jason

Kentucky beat Louisville for the 5th straight yr in the annual rivalry game. Something of an upset as UofL was 10-1 and number 9 in the AP poll while UK was 6-5 and had lost 5 of their last 6 games (okay that includes AL and GA). UofL's record was inflated because they play a soft ACC schedule.

Here's what puzzles me. Stoops, $9M per yr and 9th highest paid coach, had a couple of good 10-3 seasons at UK, a school with an abysmal football record. But the Wildcats limped to the end of the last two seasons. Most media reports have him as a front runner for the Texas A&M job. Why? A&M considers itself an elite football program. So why take a coach with a mixed record?

Note: With Texas and Oklahoma joining the SEC, there's a lot of talk of ending the UK - UofL rivalry game so the schools can keep all the "cupcakes" on the schedule to ensure bowl eligibility.

A lot of good games this weekend, but when all was said and done no real upsets once again. Fewer upsets this season than any I can remember. Talent advantage for the elite teams combined with the conference refs giving the playoff teams the occasional call.

I ended up with the hat trick yesterday being wrong three for three and happily so.

Georgia, Michigan, Washington (how they jumped over FSU when both are undefeated is odd) and FSU are all in the drivers seat for the four spots.

On the one hand, I would LOVE for Alabama to knock off Georgia, the only problem is since Texas is ranked ahead of them, does the committee put them in over Alabama?

I'd think knocking off the #1 ranked team would put Alabama in, but who knows.

Plus I'm pretty sure Texas now has to play Oklahoma again in the conference championship.

If Oklahoma knocks off Texas, I'm all for Alabama beating Georgia.

I personally don't think either will happen and we still end up with Georgia, Michigan, Washington, FSU.

Not to mention the chaos that will ensue if both or either Washington or FSU lose their conference championship game.

We'll see, next weekend will be full of drama regardless.

College Football has it so much over the NFL and it's not even close.

I would bet the house that Oregon beats Washington and Texas beats Oklahoma. FSU will have their hands full with Louisville. Nick Satan has probably done his best coaching job this year keeping Bama from a three-loss season but they get rolled by Georgia absent another Bulldog choke.
