Just when I started thinking Dallas was a lock to go to and win the Super Bowl.................

Looks like the NFC is the softer conference this year, although several of the better AFC teams lost this weekend as well.

Depending on what happens this Sunday in Foxboro, the Broncos could be a lock to make the Super Bowl; weather for the game is windy, cold, chance of snow, everything Frankenforehead hates.

Yes, snow on November 2nd; this considering this has been the mildest Fall I can ever remember, today and tomorrow are supposed to get up to 75 degrees...............

Redskins vs Dallas is still THE big game for us here in DC, regardless that we haven't been a playoff caliber team for a long while. Just harks back to the old days (the 60's thru the early 90's) when Dallas vs DC meant something to both teams and the whole DC area was up for 'Dallas Week'. It is a long history of intense rivalry that fans in this area remember and still enjoy immensely. No other team comes close in terms of a rivalry for us, so it was a very enjoyable win for the Redskins. Hopefully, Romo will recover quickly and suffer no after effects.
One thing I have to complain about is Jon Gruden as an announcer. He just doesn't shut up and his constant harping on every mistake like it was a game changing error is REALLY annoying. His repetitive criticism of both sides was just unnecessary. Doesn't he think the players know that they shouldn't be making mistakes? He sounded as if he expected a player to commit hari-kiri after committing an error. The players know their jobs and I'll bet they feel pretty bad after goofing up, but they are human, so error free football will probably never occur, regardless of Gruden's harping. No wonder he isn't coaching anymore. I'll bet he was a real popular guy in the locker room.:rolleyes2: -- Al

It was cool seeing Bill Belichick's sense of humor on Mike and Mike this past Friday (they dressed as Brady and Belichick for Halloween). If you get a chance look it up online, the sweatshirt part is pretty funny.

Bill is actually a pretty funny guy despite his dry white toast personality during his post game press conferences; truth be told, he hates doing them, so he has a hair across his rear end the whole time.............

He was rather engaging on the NFL Network's A Football Life (which is the best thing they do, in my opinion), probably because it was a more relaxed atmosphere.

Speaking of A Football Life and Belichick, one of the best programs they did was about the Cleveland Browns when he was coach of the Browns. They were well on their way to a possible title when that idiot Art Modell announced they were moving the team and the team couldn't deal with both all the attention and the pressure and they collapsed.

On his staff was the coach of Alabama, Jim Schwartz, former Lions coach; Mike Tannenbaum, former GM of the Jets; Scott Pioli, former GM of the Chiefs; and the present GM of the Falcons. I think I missed a couple more but what a staff and, oh yeah, they had identified Ray Lewis as someone they were going to pick in the Draft.

It was basically Belichik's team that won the Super Bowl as the Ravens.

If nothing else, he knows how to pick coaching talent.

It's an amazing program and if you have a chance to watch, don't miss it.

Nice OT win by the Redskins over Dallas, in Dallas. McCoy did a very credible job at Qb for someone who hadn't started a game in 3 years. Played very much under control and executed the game plan to perfection. Probably will be the highlight of the season. -- Al
Glory is fleeting. One and done for Dallas game hero McCoy. RG3 gets the start today and back to the bench for McCoy, at least until RG3's next injury, (which should be sometime in the 2nd quarter, based on past history). Go Redskins...:rolleyes2: -- Al

,One thing for sure, a fan doesn't have to worry about the boredom of a running game when NE and Denver get together. Passes to the left of me, passes to the right of me...:rolleyes2: -- Al

Well don't mail that Superbowl trophy to Denver just yet (even though most all media has it that way) as the Pats put a arse whipp'n on the Broncos today, by no means do I hardly EVER pull for the Pats but was sure was nice to see some delish humble pie served up cold to Manning and co. looks like Arizona no.1 in power polls this week!!!!!!!!!!!...Sammy

Agree Butch the SAINTS might be receiving some mail and i might be as well..................:wink2:

Al:

Stuck in the middle with you..............

Here is what I learned from watching that game:

The Patriots are the class of the AFC year in and year out;

Love him or hate him Manning is great even when he losses;

The Bengal are playing the Browns Thursday night (They announced this at least 100 times during the game, it was almost embarrassing)

Jason, they announced the Thursday night game 100 times so the 100 fans that watch that game would feel special.:tongue::rolleyes2:
The announcers also said that the Pats-Bronco game had the most combined passes of any NFL game that did not go into OT. -- Al

The great Raven/Steeler classics of 2014 are a joke, blow outs by each team at home field, my Ravens got a lot of work to do it a little period of time or miss the playoffs 2 years strait:mad:...Sammy

These were classic games, but this year, home field seemed to translate to defensive advantage. I have to gloat a little, James Harrison aka Darth Vader had a great game and he really knocked Flacco around. That was probably the most I have seen Flacco hit since last years Broncos game. I have no idea about the rest of the season, but I am really liking 6 TD Big Ben! If you would have ever told me he would be the fantasy player to beat 2 weeks in a row, I would not have believed you, kind of nuts.

TD

As most of you know I am a huge Niner fan. The Niners/Seahawk rivalry is great but it is not even close to the Ravens/Steelers.

Good effort, good job last night by the New York football Giants; grampa had his hands on his hips with that "*** is going on out there" look on his face half the night. I can't believe he's mentioned as a NFL HOF coach; seriously, because two of his teams had a horseshoe up their rear end and won two Super Bowls?

Speaking of which, if they fall into their "go to the Super Bowl every four years" pattern, they're a shoe in for a trip in 2015, so stay tuned, that's if grampa lasts that long..........

I frankly get tired of that look from him. He must have filed a trademark application for it.

I'm no expert but the Giants offense looks flat and dull whereas the Colts looked crisp and energized. I realize having Luck makes a difference but Manning is no slouch either. Looks can be deceiving but the Giants' offensive coordinator looks clueless.

On another front, speaking of another hapless team, the Jets, insult has been added to injury as Sanchez apparently shined on Sunday. Getting away from the Jets and Rex (who is clueless on offense) was the key. I hope he resuscitates his career.

A lot of great points here....................yes, he's go the trademark for that hands on hips sourpuss pose.

Luck is the real deal, the Colts picked the perfect year to go in the tank, get rid of Frankenforehead and have Luck sitting there in the draft.

Pure genius.

The Jets have gone through two QB's now, Smith is a bust, now they have to waster another draft pick on a QB.........
