Part of the problem with the Giants is that the offensive coordinator was not Coughlin's choice but foisted on him by the owner. The OC has tried to change way they play but it's not working. For example, Eli is effective when he throws downfield. This OC doesn't seem to allow him to do that. I don't really know what McAdoo was doing last night. It's as if he had not watched the Steelers Colts game and had decided that he was going to stick to what he wanted to do, as if he had blinders on. Not an excuse but, except for Beckham, they have no receivers.
If they're not going to let Coughlin run this team as he sees fit, then they might as well let him go.
In a way it's a problem similar to the Jets: the owner has saddled the Village Idzik with a coach not of his own choosing.
These two teams need to reorganize.
