Nfl season 2017-2018 (3 Viewers)

Game day is finally here, been a long two weeks.

Been a Patriots fan for 50 years, ever since my Dad took me to my first game in 1968 at Fenway park vs the Houston Oilers, they lost 14-0, but I was hooked.

Had seasons tickets for a time, went to the Squish the Fish game in Miami, was thrilled they won and finally got to a Super Bowl.

The past 17 years have been quite a ride; 12 AFCCG's, 8 trips to the Super Bowl.

EIGHT.

As a fan, it's been great, despite all the haters out there with their snarky comments about cheating and all the other nonsense I have to listen to.

Win today and finish the job, make America whine again.

Win the game today not for me, but for my Dad, who passed away last February 23rd.

Win it for him.

George, good luck today, for me part of me doesn't want to see NE pick up #6 as you will then tie the Steelers, the other part of me doesn't care as Brady is one of the best ever and if he achieves the mark, he deserves it. Pats are hard to bet against in this one, everything is going their way and they have some players who play "huge" in SB's. Namely Darth Vader, don't be surprised if Harrison has a big time play today against the Eagles. Will be watching with interest, hope it is a good game!

Either way, Brady goes home to Gisele so he's a winner. He'll be "rewarded" or "consoled" .....

Wishing best of luck to both sides this year.:salute:: Under normal circumstances, I would always root for the AFL/AFC team. That's because I moved away from NFL to AFL in 1963 and never looked back.^&cool However, because of where i live, 25 miles from Philly, and my Jetszzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzz don't perform, this year I've caught the Eagles fever, especially by being barraged by Wilmington LAX buddies,{sm0} I'm casually in for the Birds. But I definitely hope for a great complete game down to the wire.{sm4}

I wonder how the cold weather will affect the game. Coldest SB ever with -16 degree windchill. Ball going to be hard and the hits and tackles will feel especially sore.

And then there are the few and the proud. Have not and will not watch another nfl anything that 'dumped' on my Flag
and my Country. Reruns of 'My Little Margie" for me lads. Any respect left for anything out there boys & girls?

The Patriots will sill win this game, nobody makes half-time adjustments better than Belichick.

Good game...defenses obviously stayed home...Pats have Eagles right where they want them...kickers stayed home too... -- Al

The Patriots now have the lead. The Eagles and time are now simply prolonging the inevitable.

The Patriots and Brady have them right where they want them. 2:21 left is a ridiculous amount of time. 3 Pats' possessions in the 2nd half and 3 touchdowns. A 4th is next.

You were saying? Guess a back up QB can win :wink2:

Congrats to Brad the Baron and Eagles fans. The NFC East is tough.

Condolences to George and Pats fans but at least they’ve won it five times.

congrats to Eagle's fans...good game...Foles really surprised me....

never expected Philly to score so much...

NE must hate the NFC East...1-3 against them in SB...

NE now has the record for most wins and most losses in SB...

it's hard to get to the SB...that's quite an accomplishment...and they do it regularly...

weird stat...regular season...

NE scored 458 points...gave up 296........................+ 162
Philly scored 457...gave up 295..............................+ 162

Jason...don't give up your day job...^&grin

One thing for sure, this SB won't be remembered for the defense. Don McLean is already composing his next hit, 'American Sky: The Day the Defense Died'. Congrats to Philly, their first title since 1960 and the NFC East SB title #13. What a shootout. -- Al

I was thinking the same thing. This was a great game, especially if you enjoy offense. My condolences to George and the PATS folks, and congrats to the Eagles. Now I wonder if Tom will play next year.

I think you can bet the farm on Tom playing next year. That man ain't going out on a SB loss. -- Al
