Things that annoy me (2 Viewers)

Pundits and politicians who make claims like "inflation is going down" when what they mean is that it is not going up as fast as it did before. Then wondering why people are still complaining about prices. Imagine a weather person on a 90-degree day characterizing tomorrow at 92 degrees as being cooler because the temp increase is not as great as the day before.

Pundits and politicians in general.

The seemingly rapid influx of LED headlights on every single vehicle on the road. I get it, it helps see in the dark, I enjoy them on my dads truck but I know they play hell with the dude in the other lane.

Two inches of snow here resulting in 30 plus hours of no power. 100k people in this area had outages. Unreal. Where did all that "infrastructure" money go? We have a third world power grid. Imagine the chaos when there is a real problem like a hack or blizzard. We are doomed.

If you get a generator you won’t have to worry about it again.

Wait until we go all solar.

The Rock n Roll Hall of Fame. Biggest joke ever. Ozzy Osbourne finally nominated as a solo artist and I just read an article written by a Rock Hall voter who says "Undeserving" Less than 50% chance but admits Ozzy will win the Fan vote overwhelmingly. Huh? What kind of logic is that? I guess his first 2 solo records, arguably the greatest 2 hard rock albums that consistenly sell well EVERY year doesn't count? Or the pioneering reality tv show (it was the first of its kind, now I don't love reality tv, but it is a milestone), or some of the greatest musicians ever have collaborated with him, or the every year for 40 plus years non stop sold out tours, or the most successful festival (Ozzfest) ever for both longevity and sales, OR one of the most lucrative licensing out there? I could go on and on, but the bottom line is the "Rock" Hall of Fame is starting to have way more misses than hits.

This is a direct reflection of the state of music these days- If he were up for induction in 1988 or 1990 before the God awful grunge invasion then it would have been a no brainer. Now it's all rap and R&B. Hard to get a nod from that crowd.

Yet how many of that genre seeming never ending sampling of Crazy Train, Momma Im coming Home, No More Tears, Iron Man and Paranoid. They have zero original ideas yet they love to sample the crap out of hard rock music.

Fox News requiring readers of their website to enter an email address to see the content of articles. And even when you do that, having to do it over and over again. Who is the genius behind this? If they are going to annoy their readers, why not implement a system that works?

Jon Stewart. Just what we need. The return of an arrogant, narcissistic, divisive comedian on TV. We don't have enough of those. Guys like Colbert and Stewart are one trick ponies with their divisive form of "humor." Watch the old reruns of Carson. Night and day difference in how comedians addressed controversial issues. They didn't do it in a judgmental, preaching manner.

Carson is the king.

I also always liked Conan O’Brien to a certain extent because he refuses to do political jokes.

Re: Things that annoy me? Spamming assaults from bots

Yep, spamming assaults annoy me. We've got a lot of them getting in right now. 12 alone new bot members since midnight Eastern time. These appear to be spammers, creating posts, rather than the scammers who joined then started sending messages with fraudulent deals to members.
If you see one, report it to help Julie and the admins deal with this.

The NBA.

2 teams, Portland and Washington, finished February without wining a single game.

The Spurs have 12 wins and the Pistons have 9 wins. Detroit also lost a record 28 games in a row this season.

More than 1/3 of the teams have a losing record.

It’s almost 50%. However, so did MLB and the NFL.

Is there a cucumber blight? Prices in supermarkets went from 69 cents ea to 89 cents. I know it's only 31 cents but a 23% increase seems a bit much. Same thing happening in other food items.
