Things that annoy me (4 Viewers)

Perhaps President Trump will impose censure on those countries that foster such hate and attacks once again, since we all know who these people are !

The media narrative is all about how the NO terrorist was radicalized by ISIS, but who radicalized the guy who drove halfway across the country to blow up a cybertruck in front of Trump's hotel? I think the answer to that question is obvious. Our own media did that. The woman who is the NO police superintendent has been on TV more than the "My Pillow" guy patting herself on the back. Too bad she did not devote that much time and effort to safeguarding the New Year's Eve pedestrians. Her comment that the terrorists "defeated our plan" by making a right hand turn on the sidewalk will go down infamy. She should have been fired on the spot.

Not sure how she still has the position after what happened, she reminds me of Granny from the Beverly Hillbillies, except the original Granny would be more effective.

I always find it interesting after such tragic events, so-called officials at press conferences have this need to surround themselves with a support crew of Muppets who basically do nothing other than nod their heads in unison, clap hands, pat each other on the back and rarely provide anything of substance, let alone speak....

I think we, the public, make a mistake in assuming the authorities, i.e. police, mayors, FBI, SS, etc are competent when they have repeatedly proven they are not.
Agreed......The conflicting statements regularly given after such tragic events now-a-days are usually the first indicator of incompetence, (or cover up) often compounded by deliberate mis-reporting by the main stream media.

Its become almost comical, the predictability of it, yet a significant portion of society still lap it up, blindly believing these officials are all over it.

You'd like to think the public would have cottoned on by now and can easily spot the BS. Some have, but there's still plenty of dumb out there gobbling it up.

This gets better and better. Granny is a piece of work. She keeps giving interviews and digging herself in deeper and deeper. How much longer before she is fired?

"New Orleans had access to effective anti-vehicle barriers ahead of the Bourbon Street attack on New Year’s Eve revelers that killed at least 14 people and wounded dozens more, but the city did not deploy those barriers until a day after the carnage unfolded, and the head of the local police department said she had been unaware of them.

Kirkpatrick told reporters: “Actually, we have them. I didn’t know about them, but we have them, and so we have been able now to put them out.”

New Orleans bought the Archer barriers in 2017 from Meridian Rapid Defense Group, which manufactures them, according to Peter Whitford, the company’s CEO."

I have a lot more respect for police agencies that admit when they make mistakes as opposed to those that make excuses.

Policing is tough, sometimes impossible, human error is real, when things go wrong the true professionals are honest.

This City is probably one of the worst for incompetence and corruption, all you have to do is look at the history with Hurricane Katrina. The Army Corp warned them for 30 years and actually funded them. Remember the Governor of Mississippi = he received $40M federal aid, spent $30 thus far, had 10 in the bank for recovery. Louisiana and NO received $50M, they couldn't account for $47M and had not even started the recovery. Cold hard facts, it has never changed. Not surprising unfortunately.

It would be humorous if the consequences were not so fatal. They apparently even installed the Archer barriers incorrectly after discovering they had them by leaving the wheels on. The CEO of the company brought that to their attention. Why no one has been fired is unclear. They should clean house. The mayor, NO police superintendent, and that FBI agent who stated it wasn't terrorism should just be the beginning.

It turns out the NO police superintendent herself has hit pedestrians with her car in the French Quarter. You can't make this stuff up. From last August:

"New Orleans Police Superintendent Anne Kirkpatrick was on duty when she hit two pedestrians in the French Quarter with her police cruiser Saturday evening, the New Orleans Police Department announced Sunday. Kirkpatrick was returning home after visiting an injured officer at the hospital when she hit a man and woman at the intersection of Decatur and Iberville streets just before 7 p.m., police said."

Just going to effect ebay.UK to start with, the changes were made to selling a couple of months or so back now.
The New changes for buyers, where buyers will be paying a fee is the new bit.
It might be small fee and hidden in the total cost, but once buyers are aware, I can see some buyers will feel aggrieved.

Texans who complain about the recent cold weather.

Here is an idea, the next time you feel cold just think back two months when it was still 90 and you were a mosquito buffet.
