Things that annoy me (5 Viewers)

Yeah, we've got such a successful track record on nation building. How much money have we poured into Haiti? And see how that's turned out.
Haiti, Afghanistan, Iraq (where we still have troops), Vietnam. There is a recent book about the terrorist attacks on US Marines back in the 1980s in Beirut which has almost been forgotten. I'm pretty sure that I won't be buying a condo there. I like to be optimistic and hope this is not a serious idea but a bargaining mechanism to have other countries jump in and pick up the entire tab to rebuild. They usually leave that to the US.

I mentioned the attack on the USMC in Beirut to my wife earlier this morning. I remember thinking at the time they would be targets, but with rocket and sniper attacks, not the whole barracks. The Marine guards had unloaded weapons at the time.

Biondi confirmed to AG position by a vote of 52-46. She's eminently qualified but only one Democrat, Fetterman, voted for her, and two Republicans did not. In comparison, Biden's political hitman, Garland, was confirmed 70-30.

Unfortunately, and historically very true. It is hard to help those who do not want the help. I don't see this going anywhere fast. Makes for a good soundbite, but that's about it. Regarding tariffs, I actually think he did exactly what he intended to do in Canada and Mexico case. We will more likely than not hear about them again for those 2 countries as I will predict new accords there over the next 30 days.

China - different story, do I think this is geared toward getting them to the table, yes. It may cause some short-term pain, but something has to give even a little with China. We are too dependent on their manufacturing well beyond toy soldiers. We created this mess ourselves by pricing ourselves out of manufacturing our own goods. I could go on for pages on why this happened, it is not just increased labor rates, it is what's behind that. All of this said, IMO tempest in a teapot. Market makers like a little chaos once in a while as major money makes moves on the sell offs. That is why our stock market is a rigged game. Again, could talk about that for pages. Long story short, I would expect to see movement on the China front also and a shift. One thing about Trump, he is not going to be idle, some moves will be good, some will be bad, but I am not one to judge on a short game basis, I take a long-term point of view on all of these actions.

Spot on I say. Its all smoke and mirrors with the big 'T' and getting folks to the table is what its all about and starting a conversation......Meanwhile MSM start flapping their wings and jumping about like head-less chickens, like the worlds going to end. Its a hoot to watch and the middle-east Rivera thingy is hilarious.....

The guy blocking the door to the Dept. of Education. He kept his cool when being baited. I'm not sure why members of Congress can't enter the building but at least he did not escalate the chaotic situation.

The definition of stoic, keeping his cool all the while as that battleax Maxine Waters berated him; I've seen better looking catcher's mitts, she's got a face that would make a freight train take a dirt road.

The Democrats are all up in arms (listening to Pocahontas Warren screeching about Musk sounded like a cat that got caught in a bear trap) because the gravy train of wasteful spending worldwide ramming DEI, wokeism, transgender rights and the green new deal down the world's throat is over.

Our tax dollars being lit on fire by these loons.

Don't what authority he had to block the bldg but it was fun to watch M Waters and others meltdown.

I agree 100%.It's a disgrace how they take our money and spend it anyway they want. Parisite scum.

Not sure if any of you have heard about/seen this story, but it looks like it's going national; my oldest sister called me about four days ago.

Her Son/my Nephew has a childhood friend he grew up with/his best friend named George who's been helping my family with my Aunt's estate over in Greece, SUPER nice kid, he has a cousin who owns a sandwich shop in Lynn Ma, he's owned it for four months; on Sunday night after he closed the shop, he was robbed and murdered..................by an illegal alien from the DR who was caught crossing our border in TX in 2022, but under the Biden/Harris border policy, was released...............ended up in Lynn MA............and is the POS who murdered this 48 year old Greek American.

You know; people can clutch their pearls and virtue signal to me about how wrong the Trump deportation policy is but when something like this happens that impacts me PERSONALLY, I'm stunned and at a loss for words. George is gutted by this, as he should be, as am I. Just awful, terrible really, this is a crime that NEVER, EVER SHOULD HAVE HAPPENED.

ICE was just in Boston/Ma last week rounding up illegals; a real shame they did not grab this POS before he killed this 48 year old businessman.

Oh man, so sorry to hear this. This is maddening and sad beyond belief, yet people in their glass houses want to protect these POS. Boston like most left governed cities need to really look in the mirror and realize the human cost of this crisis and stop playing for votes.

Again, sorry to hear this George.

Thanks............we're a sanctuary state, Boston is a sanctuary city thanks to our loon Governor (she announced she's running again; oh joy) and the mayor of Boston, two clueless nitwits.

AD was injured in his first game as a Mav. Who could have guessed? LOL. Meanwhile ESPN substituted the Lakers-Pacers game in anticipation of Luka playing. Instead they got a game not only without Luka but also without LeBron. Even so the Pacers got rolled. The Lakers have scored 120 or more in five straight games. Imagine what happens when they get Luka, LeBron, and Williams on the court.

Breaking news; "Lakers say the Mark Williams/Dalton Knecht trade has been rescinded."

Is this report true, no go on Williams? If so, I'm sure Dalton Knecht will be welcomed back into the fold with open arms.

The definition of irony; they demanded entrance into the DOE building, meanwhile, we are dead last out of 40 developed countries regarding education, but we as a nation are #1 in money spent per student on said education.

As TD says, you can't make this stuff up.
