Re: Walking Dead

Actually I'm with Rick he's right, the fantasy-land that the good folks of Alexandria live is are miles away from reality and what is really happening outside the walls......and those walls won't stop everyone.

I've said it before and I'll say it again; prior to this series, anything zombie was a two hour at the most peek into what life would be like in a zombie plague. The Romero movies went a bit deeper, but this has been a very long glimpse into trying to live a normal life despite what was going on around you.

This latest scenario in Alexandria; these people live in a fantasy world. They have no idea what life outside their walls is actually like. Putting Rick and his crew in there was a disaster waiting to happen. He's wandering up and down the streets looking for something to stick his nose into; well he sure found it.

Not sure what is going to happen next week, but I. don't think he's suited for life in Alexandria.

The whole thing is so abnormal; no TV, no phones, no internet, no job, no interaction with anyone outside those walls. They are on an island just waiting to be over run or taken out by a band of outsiders.

Life in a zombie world is no day at the beach.

This latest dust up just goes to show groups do not mix well, they need to stick to their own kind. Rick's people need to find their own place, they are incapable of blending in with another group, too much testosterone.

Nicely said Warrior. The Congresswoman quickly recognised the value of Ricks group and tried to give them suitable jobs, but completely underestimated the possible consequences of mixing the two groups.

I thought the end scene, with Rick surrounded by towns-folk and Sasha up in the clock tower popping off 'walkers' was very telling.

Whatever happens next they are going to need Rick. He doesn't get it right sometimes, but he's prepared to make the hard decisions when it matters, unlike the Congresswoman who was prepared to allow a wife and child be terrorised by a drunken thug for the sake of his surgical skills.

Would be interesting to know what other information she and the other residents are with-holding?

Re: Walking Dead

Fantastic season finale. Maybe the best of the series.

Re: Walking Dead

BRILLIANT finale just when you think its getting dull BANG that happens rock on October.

Absolutely, this season I think as been the best so far, just outstanding.

Last nights episode had me on the edge of my seat most of the time, just brilliant.

Talk about going out with a bang.

Re: Walking Dead

I plan on rewatching the episode again as there was so much going on, but a quick question for the members; what is the deal with the Wolves? Who carves the W on their foreheads and why are there so many walkers with the W on their foreheads?

Also, why did they kill poncho guy, that made no sense to me, now he's a walker too?

How much of a threat are the wolves if they don't even have bullets for their guns.

Also, I was confused as after Morgan dumped them in the car and started blowing the horn, I though he was ringing the dinner bell for the walkers, but then the two wolves showed up again and killed poncho guy, that made no sense.

Lastly, how in the world did Glenn escape as he was on the ground with one walker on top of him and two more moving toward him.

You have to watch Talking Dead after the show. Some questions usually get answered. Morgan no longer believes in killing anyone. He tied the guys up, so that someone might hear and release them. Too bad for Poncho guy. Not sure if the Wolves take any prisoners, as you will remember the girl they staked up to be eaten, last episode. The Wolves also now have Aaron's photos of Alexandria, that were left at the trap area. Glenn escaped because he is a vet Z killer. Remember the scene with Carl and some 4 Z's, right after the group was chased from the prison..( Carl got super angry with Dad episode..) And Rick took on 3 walkers in near same scenario..The Z's are not very strong, very fast, or very, very smart..Michael

Re: Walking Dead

Also noted, the new series ,Fear the Walking Dead was advertised for late summer release...New crew set on West Coast, pre Rick, just at the beginning of world's end..Michael

Sounds great, can't wait to see a preview.

Re: Walking Dead

There was sure a lot going on in that last episode but ultimately not much happened. Some type of redemption theme with everyone getting a second chance except for the wife beater. Glen looked like he was a goner a couple of times but kept coming back like Jason Voorhees. The big question for next season is whether they find a barber to cut the kids hair. He's looking like shaggy from Scooby Doo. I like Daryl a lot, but his introspective Zen moodiness is wearing a bit thin when all he does now is walk around in the woods.

Re: Walking Dead

I thought it was a good episode but not what you would expect for the season finale.

Re: Walking Dead

I was watching "The Mist" last night and three of the stars from the WD series were in this 2007 movie (Dale, Andrea and Carol). It was a bit odd seeing them all together in a movie that pre-dates the show.

Kind of liked The Mist. Was well done with a good creep factor. Plus the ending is heartbreaking. I do remember the WD actors in their parts. -- Al

Re: Walking Dead

Yeah the guy who did "The Mist" started "The Walking Dead" I believe.

Yes, it was better than I expected. A rare example of Hollywood keeping it simple. Trap some people in a grocery store surrounded in mist with a lot of nasty things outside. Kind of like they did in the 50s with movies like "Them."
