Hi Mark.

That is yet another wonderful kit, and painted very well.
However, check the Tomahawk handle. It seems to be forgotten by the painter.
Looks like a plain styrene/plastic rod, or maybe brass/metal, but whatever it is, it is not painted.

I'm currently looking at two of the FL Woodland Indians, to make a little vignette called "The Pursuit", having Robert Griffing's painting in mind.
Britains also has some running Woodland Indians that could be used.
Maybe the Chicago Show next week will help me to decide :)

I didn't notice that Konrad. The tomahawk was one of the damaged parts.I didn't notice it when he sent me the pictures. It's going to stay that way as I'm not taking a chance sending it back as I glued it to the base.I'm not touching it up either as the last figure I tried to fix is back at the painters as he tries to undo my work.{eek3}.It isn't as noticeable in my cabinet.

Got these a few months ago but as I have not added anything myself to this thread recently....Here they are 1/6th Scale Collectors Showcase Statues !

The 1/72 scale model is a Hobby Master product patterned after an F-16i piloted by Israeli Air Force Colonel Giora Even. Even is noteworthy because he recorded more A2A kills in supersonic aircraft than any other pilot in the history of aviation, worldwide. The model is terrific, but the hook for me was the signed base-plate for the stand. This signature version is limited to 250 examples and comes with a CoA. Don't want to sound like a groopie, but I simply had to have this one.

Moe, really a sharp looking aircraft and the signature makes it pretty special. Saw the ads for this a while back. I notice that the propeller seems to be missing.:wink2::rolleyes2: -- Al

Hi Al,

The lack of a prop is a definite negative. Still, I believe that it's possible to celebrate the man and his achievements while remaining circumspect about his choice of transportation. ;) Picked up another IAF model with Hawkeye Epstein's fast-mover, but this one is 1/200:

Now, THAT is a beautiful aircraft! :salute:: Chris

As I only finished painting these this morning - they qualify for the two week ownership.

They are, of course, some 30mm Flats - bought from Herr Wilfried Dangelmaier in Germany (www. zinnfiguren-dangelmaier.com).

I painted these in Humbrol Gloss Enamels. jb

Very recently, I received the Conte Playset, "Hold Until Relieved".
It has two excellent foam buildings, a bridge, 72 figures and dragon's teeth.

My two BT buildings fit well with this set.

Agreed - the "Herc" is a surprisingly good looking aircraft - BUT what nobody tells you is just how NOISY it is - especially on a long flight. My fist time in one, I flew from Southern UK to Cyprus - and was deafened for about two days afterwards. Nobody warned me about using ear defenders!!!:D jb
