Wittmann Tiger Fiefel with uneven air filter exhaust hoses

Toxic, schmoxic... we used to paint in my dad's auto body shop (no paint booth) until we were nearly high and then sit outside with a beer or two and spit-for-distance while the coats set up!

    KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- January 2018

...Anzio was great example of that. And the times linkups happened with troops coming from the invasion beaches.

New Release Figarti Railway gun 280mm K5 arrived in UK !

Wow! Looks really nice. Never been a fan of Figarti, though...great vision, but the stuff I ordered usually arrived broken in some way.

    KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- January 2018

Interesting that Paratroopers that wore different uniforms from the rest of the Army and even camouflaged theirs with spray paint didn't have the same problems with recognition/friendly fire... Suffice to say they were not popular with forces in the ETO for various reasons.

    KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- January 2018

That's the simple answer. Climatically, the camouflage garments didn't work in Europe's cities and towns, and the 1943 Pattern uniform was designed and optimized for cold/wet environments and to replace multiple pieces at the same time when it was fielded. The camouflage herringbone-twill was...

    KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- January 2018

Frogskins were reversible... Army HBT Camo was not, though the inside coloring was very similar.

    KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- January 2018

Andy: Uncle Sam's Misguided Children called them "frogskins" back then..."cammies" in the '60's and 70's, and BDU's in the 80's and 90's. MARPAT is the current uniform. The great thing about doing frogskins is that the Army's pattern is almost identical, thus making it easy to accommodate my...

Wittmann Tiger Fiefel with uneven air filter exhaust hoses

...fine line of lifting the entire turret off of the hull vs. having right clearance for the stowage box. Not optimal, but I've received worse from other manufacturers.

    KING & COUNTRY Dispatches -- January 2018

Great model of the Stug! I like it without the armor panels and camouflaged, so well done! Great to see K&C return to FJ's, and the Ramcke Brigade is a great formation to model. FJ's in the Afrika Korps...looking forward to the desert AS-42 coming out too!

Anyone Have Complete List of 'Texas Sets?

The Texas Division fought mostly in Italy. I'd have to look, but they might have been part of the Dragoon amphibious force in the Invasion of Southern France...maybe Anzio. Good to know that they were for TTSS... where did you get that info from?

    Toysoldiers in Paris

Cool room, to be sure. Well lit, lots of nice displays, but way too sterile if you get my meaning. ...The white walls and glass shelves and nice figures dress-right-dress. I like it better when there's other period memorabilia displayed with the Toy Soldiers...drums, colors, artifacts, etc. My...

New Wittman K&C Tiger turret to base fit problem

Gents, I say the same thing to myself every time I see a guy on the boards repainting vehicles and figures--"upwards of $200 for that retired piece and he did what?" . Some people have talent (see the thread about the M3 Halftrack)...others not so much, but as this is SOCIAL MEDIA, I thought I'd...
