The Glory of Rome (1 Viewer)

Thanks Mark and Donnie

This morning I placed a grassy base along the front edge of the "Woods" diorama and rearranged all the figures. This gives the scene alot more depth especially when photographed . . . .

Superb. Really like these Romans and Barbarians.

Can I ask who made the trees and where you got the backdrop from?

Cheers

Garza, those were all custom-made by Ken and Ericka Osen ( I think Ericka does the trees :) ) from Hudson & Allen.

The main dio base w/hand painted backdrop is Hudsom & Allens "At The Edge of the Woods" which I purchased from Ken & Ericka at teh 2010 OTSN show in Chicago . . . .

A new contribution to Andanna's great thread.....

OK, if there was a vote at the the end of the years for FL's best figure of the year, I have found my front runner....

"Night falls and this noble German warrior still stands"

Great photo, Joe. Very atmospheric.

Thank you Andanna. I really enjoyed setting up the elements around this exquisite figure. I'm really enjoying my FL ancient Germans and Romans, and I hope to able to add more soon. Thanks again and I'm glad you enjoyed the pic.

Well done Joe. Another terrific scene. I love how FL adapted Roman equipment into some of their German figures. It makes the figure all the more realistic.

Thanks Joe! The ROM038 figure is my favorite German so for. I love the way the cape is painted. I too enjoy how FL decorated some of their Germans with Roman equipment and the realism it brings. In fact, I hope to acquire ROM039 soon.....I love how he's wearing a Roman helmet! It's just one of many amazing miniatures in this glorious FL range. Fun stuff!

LOL, between you and Joe, it's not getting easier. Something tells me they'll be getting some shelf space in the future.
