Looks like Shiva.
I love it when Russian manufacturers overdo the painting. Realism is great but so is fancy artwork on a piece. Some of the flags and caparisons are amazing. Wish we had that elephant but Joan of Arc was one we almost bought but didn't. Some regret there even though we have too much to display as it is!
Great collection. Always like to see it.

Hi Paddy,
Joan of Arc is a very special one to me. It took me years to get PB418 by Asrenyev. I thought you might like to see a few photos of it. It's my absolute favorite mounted piece. Nevskaya made a great one too on a leaping horse that is amazing, but I don't have that one. Grudsky made her as well as part of a multiple piece scene depicting her capture.

Ahhhh! That’s the one! Hahah!
So rare to see one.

I have the gurdsky and Nevskaya and love them, but you have the holy grail!

I know the feeling Paddy - i also had the opportunity to get once and had no idea would not see again for sale.

Beautiful Joe - did you mount it to wood or was it a competition piece?

Thanks AJ. It is affixed to a display block for stability but is removable. The figure is really nice but a little small for a mounted piece. Maybe I'm just paranoid. But no, this wasn't a competition piece.

2 outta 3 aint' bad!
Between the two of us we have 'em all.
And let's not forget the LE piece K & C made, a wonderful figure that I recall being very hard to get back in the day.

I finally took some pictures of my EW5 Saladin. I really love this one.

I just finished painting and basing this Crusader. It's Art Girona kit # I-73, 54mm metal. I actually started in on this figure early this year, but then we moved. I was happy to have some time to finally get back to it. I hope you enjoy the photos!

Joe,

Looks fantastic. You did a super job. I assume it probably took months to complete.

Thank you Brad! I worked on the figure as pockets of time became available, so it's hard to say how long it took me over various sessions of differing lengths. I would say it took around 2 weeks for me, maybe a little more because the basing part took a few days itself. I also managed to complete another diorama about a month ago but just hadn't gotten around to posting the photos yet. I will post those pictures shortly because I have this week off. It features Aeroart's Boudicca figure. I think I will post the photos in this thread rather than the diorama thread and just keep all of my stuff in one place. I suppose I could post them in both areas, but not sure if that's a bit of overkill. Thanks again, Joe

Joe...outstanding job...you're very talented...I wish I could paint...I have tried...I'm just not very good at it...

Lovely job Joe - can't wait to see that Diorama!

Thank you AJ! Diorama photos will be posted soon- Happy New Year! Joe

Much appreciated Mike! It feels good to read such wonderful words from another artist. Painting figures is a battle like most....you'll improve with each attempt. I read a lot about it too. Happy New Year! Joe

Exceptionally well done Joe. Impressive to say the least.

Right on Mike! Thank you kindly.:smile2: HPN and goodbye 2020!
